Those old weather widgets should be removed, as was indicated at the time of the feed cutoff. As Jim says, they give a wrong impression when someone downloads them, and they don't work.
Well yes, my thinking also when the weather.com feed imploded. Now, I just use the more recent widgets especially by RedneckDude. Also the OD weather docklets (which use accuweather), most gadget

One thing I really like in Objectdock is the "Flyout Menu" option. Comes in handy when assigning sub-folders. The sub-dock option in Nexus is sorta like it, but.. aw, I'm just spoilt. On the plus side, Nexus has so many cool features missing in Objectdock.
Quality skins, every one. And they keep on coming. No off season here for sure! [e digicons]5*[/e] [e digicons][/e]
xiandi's work has always been masterpiece grade far as I'm concerned. About time the obvious became official ! [e digicons]5*[/e] [e digicons]5*[/e] [e digicons]5*[/e] [e digicons][/e]
Thanks Xiandi, DaveRI. I'll try those as well. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Thanks inthebloodofeden, I'll check out those options.
Hi everyone, A related question, but in reverse lol. How can I convert IP icons into PNGs for Objectdock? I'm sure the answer is somewhere in this forum, but darned if I can find it. Tried Axialis, but it confounds me. Is there some other way to do this? Thanks for any suggestions.
Happy birthday, John !!
MasterBaron, good to hear from you again. I hope you'll continue your contributions to WC [e digicons]^_^[/e]

I can t wait! This IP looks very promising![e digicons]:sun:[/e]
I've been running XP since it came, out. Tried Vista later, but it sucked. I paid a $50 premium for the 'privilege' of reverting back to XP instead of Vista & I've never had a problem since. Yeah, various testimonials swear that win7 is miles ahead of XP (not to mention Vista), but budgeting for it is a problem & XP still does what I want minus the bells and whistles Win7 provides, which I don't need for what I do.
vStyler does it again! Another masterpiece [e digicons]5*[/e] , thank you!!!
I I thought Brad was Frogboy, not Draginol? Ah well, live and learn.

It can eaiteher create a new achive each time or overwrite the last one." I didn't know this option existed under Advanced Settings. "Archive application before updating" in Advanced Settings should do the trick. Thanks, Zubaz gmc2 you might want to mention in the Tutorial that this option exists under Advanced Settings.
Luckily, my other PC still has an earlier version of DeskScapes installed: the one where you right-click on desktop>properties>DeskScapes>apply. I want to archive this version but it doesn't appear on Impulse, which instead offers DeskScapes 3 and says 'previous version installed' under 'status'. But right-clicking on it won't give an 'archive' option for this previous version, only 'download and archive' for DeskScapes 3. Any ideas on how to find and archive the previous version would be
Finally! I only wish I knew how to do this before, having lost 2 decent applications to buggy updates. A request to the powers that be: Impulse could use a 'how to' menu. Thanks gmc2!
Well deserved!!! Good job, madcat!
hmmm...I've no idea what an SDK is but If an SDK for effects is already included in the 3.2 download, why the separate link for a dynamic dreams SDK download? Are they complements or substitutes? My OS is XP and I'm relieved just to get Deskscapes running unmodified dreams without glitches, never mind the optional bells and whistles. What the heck does SDK stand for anyway?
Stardock will no longer be providing archives for expired Object Desktop subscriptions. I would suggest making the archives before your subscription expires. If that's the case, how many people really know about archiving and how to do it? Impulse should give some kind of prompt with this statement and instructions on how to archive and restore to remind users so they don't lose products they've paid for.
<
Thanks, Elvee! :)
I don't see an OD2 update in Impulse either. [e digicons]:|[/e]
Arrgh - oh well, happy St. Brigid's day then, all ya heathen! :)
No idea how to post an SS alas, but I organize my docks by function. e.g. the "Office" dock uses a fly-out menu for Excel, Groove, power-point,Access & heck - even Wordpad and Notepad. IIRC Fences and OD are substitutes, not complements. Plus fences screws up Deskscapes, not exactly an advantage. I don't use Fences cuz OD does does it all, & with great eye candy.
