Hi, This is a second request for help with Deskscapes, I may have posted the original in the wrong forum. I recently upgraded to Deskscape 3 via Impulse from my paid-up subscription even though the prior deskscape version worked just fine once I figured out not to use fences or active desktops. I recently installed Deskscape 3 via Impulse from my paid-up subscription even though the prior deskscape version worked just fine. I made no changes in my security program/firewall in the interim, and when uninstalling the old version/installing the new version, I even paused PC protection just to make sure there'd be no glitches. I also used CCleaner to clear out temporary files each time and rebooted as required. But Deskscapes 3 is not working on my PC fo

An "Unload DX" option included in the DX dialogue, since many DX skins don't show a system tray. Luckily, a "DX Helper" widget by Randahl with an "Unload" option is available for now Link . It's been a real help. Also, a clear indication of which objects are linked in parent-children relationships would be nice.

When I get a buggy download, I usually do all the above plus a registry cleanup (this can help, not sure why) before reinstalling the program through Impulse. Just some added insurance before rebooting and reinstalling.
try to choose a lower icon size especially for the "zoom" effect
My vision's kinda shot from staring at screens all day. Setting my 20" screen at a dismally low resolution (1152x864) helps, but gives up a lot of real estate so the screen crowds up fast if I don't conserve on icons. So yeah, zooming's important to me even when I use large icons.

Maybe I'm missing something, but the "configure Objectdock" icon seems redundant since objectdock configuration options can be accessed by right-clicking anywhere on a dock, giving "this dock", "remove entry" and "dock entry properties" with its full sub-menu. I try to keep my docks as compact as possible by grouping related applications on fly-out menus and by also dropping the "configure objectdock" icon. i'm not that short on ram, but it seems sensible to reduce

which docklet is that? my ODock weather docklet goes to accuweather ObjectDock uses an Accuweather feed. Right clicking on it will give accuweather options and choosing the properties of teh docklet provides links to their site. Yep, turns out my Objectdock weather docklet runs off accuweather while the widgies show N/A coz they ran off TWC’s feed. I guess a global switchover to accuweather etc. isn’t feasible coz they might follow TWC. I guess that’s it for weather widge

Hi, I finally got on my other PC to change the script on a couple of weather widgets using neophil78's fix and just noticed the Objectdock weather docklet is still working on weather.com's feed! I didn't register coz I'm in Europe. Very odd...

I'm outside the U.S. so option B is out. I panic when it comes to script but the weather widgys were busted anyway, so with nothing to lose I tried fix A (Neophil78) on a couple I regularly use and darned if it didn't work [e digicons]:D[/e] !!! Thanks sViz and Neophil78!!! [e classic]:congrat:[/e] [e classic]:congrat:[/e]
