Can save game data be combined? in Technical Sins Forums

I have Sins of a Solar Empire installed on my Desktop at home and laptop. First off is it possible to grab save game data from one computer and move it to another if I wish to play on the other system? This in of itself may answer my second question... not that its a big deal but the game as you know keeps track of certain "mile stones" such as having every capital ship of any given race at any one time or causing X number of damage to planets. Does anyone have an idea of what to do if the orginal purchase did not come with the serial number required to obtain updates in the first place? Nothing in the manual, nothing in the box where it was suposed to be. Kinds puts a sour note on a new purchase being denied needed updates when I actually purchased a legit version of the program. Any help or ideas would be most appricated. Thank you,
