I'll try and get more specific details, but I also get the casting bug constantly when playing QoT. The only thing I've noticed for sure that seems to increase the chance of it not working is if I have not moved in some time before I cast (e.g. sitting at a flag) and my target is in range (i.e. I don't have to move either). I would say 30-40% of the time in those conditions, bramble shield will not cast on a friendly target - it's bad enough that if I want to shield someo

I agree with Tototot's general points, though I don't go minion build at all and just put points into shield, ground spikes and spike wave + shamblers for mulching purposes. Her real strength in my mind is survivability and ability to hold flags + not being particularly item dependent. I usually get the mana hats initially, speed boots, then Heart of Life when I can afford it. After that, I don't really buy anything else and focus on being the team's citadel-upgrader.&nbsp

This is kerronz2, albeit with a changed nickname. After messing around a bit more (and reading another thread) I found out that I needed to turn off 'Block WAN requests' in the router setup (also called Block Anonymous Internet Requests, Allow WAN Pings and various other things). After unblocking that and without using port forwarding, it now seems to work okay 80% or so of the time. We were both playing in a 3v3 game the other day that was reasonable - everyone's ping w

I'm guessing this is probably the same (well, the inverse of) 'Block WAN requests'? Any ideas if so, cos it's possible that could be causing some of my problems as well if it is. It'd be nice if router manufacturers could agree on some consistent terminology..
kerronz2 whereabouts are you from? Do you have ADSL or Cable and what speed connection?
We're in the UK, and have ADSL with 256k up, 4mb down. You may be right that this is the issue, although we've played numerous other multiplayer games online without issue which would suggest that DG is using an unusually large amount of bandwidth. However I don't know how many of those we've played have been P2P and how mu

I tried your suggestion Aprogas and forwarded different port ranges to each of the computers. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have made a lot of difference, so I suspect the problem may be unrelated to the port forwarding. We're getting further than Fhoeng (with two XP computers) - we can usually get into the same lobby (though sometimes one connects and not the other for reasons I can't ascertain), though once in game there's often a large amount of lag and not uncommonly we b

Message My wife and I have been attempting to play Demigod online via a single router/internet connection. While we are both able to connect to a game, once the game starts there is often a large amount of lag, despite the score tab showing that everyone has a <100 ping. This does not happen if only one of us connects to a game, leading me to believe that it may have something to do with our network configura
