He quit right as the match ended, so it said we were victorious, but it didn't come up in the stats. There's no way to tell how many times he's done it, but I've seen someone report the same player before. Proof is below, his is the only name with 0 ping (aside from me since I took the shot). Not sure if he's intentionally invalidating games, but I wouldn't risk it with a rage quitter. <img src="http://img693.imageshack.us/img693/8784/40770254.jpg" alt="" width=

Except that the only "control" being exhibited by Valve is that you have to have the client to run the game. In turn, you can download the game on any computer at any time when you're logged into your Steam account. You get all the same integrated client features you find off of any other Valve game. You even get free stuff tossed in with automatic updating. To me and the PC-user base backing 75% of the digital gaming market, this is good news. I

some games who means i desync was 24h disconnect from router, so not again my fault. If that was true, then your stat's NA's and Incompletes would consistently occur every 24 hours. Just looking at the first few pages and you can see how sporadic they are. You might be better than the average player, but if everyone is saying you're hacking and there's hard evidence debunking your excuses, then it's ob

Hey, I posted this idea in the multiplayer board, but I really want it to be heard and possibly implemented. A large part of the community has reached a consensus that stats are absolutely broken. People wait in lobbies longer than actually playing in hopes of getting a balanced game together. New players are shunned and turned down in games because people of different skill levels are trying to avoid landslide matches. Alternatively, the constant stat-whoring ends up d

Whenever you're about to play a character for the first time, play against the AI or read the builds/guides on the strategy board . People have already figured out things so you don't have to, and can get you playing real games faster, so I really recommend taking advantage of it. That doesn't mean the guides are always right, but they'll definitely set you on the right track. The community is really sensitive to stats, which is a mixed bag of good and bad. When

They really should change the ranking system, because it's completely broken. Stats shouldn't be relative to how many games you win, it should be relative to the people you win/lose against and the people you play with. If someone is a legitimately good player and is teamed up with poor teammates that feed, then it makes no sense for the good player to be punished. This just enforces inaccurate stats and deceiving game-counts, and is also easy for hackers to abuse.

Sorry to revive an old topic, but why did GM Orcun choose to use Plenor Battlecrown as his mana item? Wouldn't Vlemish Facegaurd be a much better choice? I've been seeing a lot of people do that lately with BoF UB, but I don't understand it. Edit - So did everyone else until Oak got the Vlemish Facegaurd around the early 10s or so.

@maff86 I think that focusing solely on top tier characters is a really bad idea, because it promotes single-dimensional gameplay. I have a really fun time playing UB with a Sedna to back me up or something to that effect, but the most rewarding games are ones where I have a supposedly weak team where I'm a TB and I'm accompanied by a Reg, and walk out dominating. I think the tighter rope and the less room for error promotes players to learn how t

With the thread of players to avoid, I figured that it'd be nice to know who the best people to play with are. I'm not just talking about pros, but for people who are like me and are trying to get better, having great teammates you can learn from or opponents who you can watch replays of is really helpful. I'm talking about players who are not only good, but pleasant to play with and improve your game. For me, a few people stand out in my mind: <s

I personally don't enjoy using BotS because when I run out of mana, it's not when I'm farming creeps, but when I'm going up against other demigods or working towers. If it's early/mid game, auto-attack while I'm being pulverized is not enough to restore my mana enough to stop me from visiting the health crystal, and a bar of mana in exchange for half my health against a tower doesn't feel like it's worth it. I also never had health problems mid-late game to justify not

Just to cover all bases, though, I think that Swift Anklet will be where it's at with the recent fix on TB's normal attacks when chasing. I personally love Heaven's Wrath because it means faster leveling (clears empty lanes, allows me to conserve mana every couple creep spawns so I can work towers) and is handy in PvP and fetching kills from people who barely escape when my skills are cooling down, but being able to chase someone and attack someone at the same time kind of kills the second ad

I always loved a full fire TB. I think the inverse of the OP though, I only put one point in Ring of Fire at the beginning (so that I can zone flags, take out a crowd while Heaven's Wrath is recharging, or work the first lane tower in Cataract in early levels), and then max out Fireball and Fire Nova. The reason is that it's a lot quicker to clear crowds of creeps with a Fire Nova than it is to hold a crowd until Ring of Fire eats through them. From there, though,

I don't take premades too seriously anymore. I only play in public games against them, and most of the time our team beats them out. Not to say I'm good or anything, but lately %s and premades seem to mean a whole lot less.

Generally I'm fine with most players. The only player I don't enjoy playing with is Richz. Isn't a very good beast, always rage quits upon loss, and only has his 50% because he plays in filthy rich games. The only time I ever play with him is when I'm in a bad mood and just want to win, so I play against him.

I prefer playing with balanced teams since the closer the match is, the more fun it is. I don't understand why some pros would want to stack teams because not only is it an empty win, but it's bad for the community. Not every player out there saves replays of good players they lost against so they can learn. The games I learned most from the past month of feverish playing was having pros on my team telling me when to back off, telling me to get currency and tower health 1, telling me not to b
