I have a Hitachi 500 GB 7200 RPM for my Steam games and a Western Digital 600 GB 7200 RPM for system. Both are 0% fragmented according to windows.

Im having a very annoying issue; whenever the game has to load resources for new ships/portraits/textures etc... the game freezes something like 5-20 seconds before i can do anything again.... this happens ALL THE TIME! It happens even when i choose race. It is making the game extremely frustrating to play to the point of just quitting.
