Did all that and problem is not solved. That's it for me. Waisted lot of time here. Back to TidyTabs
So, I did what you asked. Uninstalled Group completely (including settings), Rebooted, Reinstalled new download, Rebooted again. behaviour is still the same. Problem was always there, not after some event. it simply does not work. Sorry, I cannot continue to try all kinds of possible solutions. So I will uninstall it again and go back to my previous solution TidyTabs. But thanks for your help.
I already did that, although I am not sure if I did an "immediate" reboot.
I switched off hardware acceleration but problem still exists. I updated/repaired Microsoft 365 and that also did not solve the problem. I tried other apps, they do not seem to have the problem, but most apps have built-in tab sheet features
I will try that later today and let you know what happens
It certainly occurs with other Office applications. Maybe even with other apps. I will check that.
My version of MS Word is: Versie 2407 (build 17830.20138 Klik-en-Klaar) Is the discussion about hardware acceleration related to my issue or are issues getting mixed up?
Yes, moving the Groupy tabs bar or clicking one of the tabs usually helps. But sometimes the whole Groupy bar has disappeared (it looks like it is above my screen). Of course in that case moving or clicking it does not work. If I open the documents from Explorer, the problem does not seem to occur. If I click on the Windows task bar the documents are shown and also when I hover over the Word icon in the task bar.
My Windows version is: Versie 23H2 (Build van besturingssysteem 22631.4037) My Groupy version is 2.15 video at: https://we.tl/t-aeUDMdx7Ra
When "automatically group all WINWORD.EXE" is enabled, after opening a new word file the Word windows are no longer shown, only the tabs bar is shown. Tried reinstalling, but problem was not solved.
I am using the most recent version of Fences (3.1.3.3). New icons like (shortcuts to) files placed on the desktop are sometimes hidden under the fences that I have on my desktop. I cannot remember that I had this problem with previous versions. Any idea how to solve this? Thanks Roger
Thanks RedneckDude, Unfortunately that did not solve my problem. After uninstaling and rebooting, when I install Fences again. The old corrupted fences appear again. Just like before, apparently Fences remembers the last installation. I want to get rid of that memory.
I have serious continuing problems with ghost fences outside of my desktop. There seem to be fences out of sight and icons are inaccessible. This occurred after Switching to different resolution with a second screen. I uninstalled Fences, and all the lost icons are back on the desktop. But when I re-install Fences it remembers the old situation and restores the old corrupted fences. How can I completely uninstall Fences, so I can start with a blank desktop with
