I don't wish to start a flame war, just hoping to learn if there are any plans to bring Gal Civ IV to STEAM and, if so, the anticipated time frame. Thanks
It is very likely that GalCiv IV will be exclusively on Epic for a period of time post-release . . . .
Looking forward to playing GalCiv IV once it is released on STEAM. Best of luck in the interim. I hope in the future, Stardock doesn't go the EPIC exclusive route, but understand that there may be good business reasons for doing so.
. . . . GalCiv4 will be available on Steam when the full game releases next year. It's only an Epic "exclusive" while it's alpha/beta.
Is that known or suspected? I was surprised that, with Old World (from Mohawk Games), launching July 1, there is no indication that it will be available on STEAM at

I realize this is chrome request, but I suppose it can't hurt to ask. With an immersive "one more turn" type game it's handy to have the option to show the time somewhere on the interface. Civ IV has this as an option and as I recall the old SSG Warlords game had it too, although I'm dating myself a bit with that one.

The Protection Field module for a starbase says that it protects ships in the "area." The Battle Sttaions attack assist modules say that they assist ships in the "sector." Is there a distinction bewteen the range of an "area" vs "sector" effect? Does anyone know whether the protection field gives a benefit to ships throughout the sector as well or is it a lesser area. if the latter does anyone know how far the effects extend? This may be explained somewhere but I could not find it.

I purchased the game last night directly from Stardock via download of the large zipped file (with follow-up CD via mail). The game appears to have set up fine; however, as far as I can tell, I did not get the manual. I've seen refernces on the forum to the manual in pdf format. Do we have to download this separatly? If so where? I'm sure I am just missing something obvious but any enlightment would be much appreciated. Thanks,
