I have exactly the same problem. If I have an invasion and a battle in the same turn the game hangs after showing the battle viewer. If I choose quick battle instead everything is fine Ticket #PSN-788-26015 raised

I had the same issue when the planet the shipyard was sponsored by was captured. I then used a distant planet as the new sponsor and although the build time was showing as a very large number, the ships were being built in one turn
