As a software developer the $499 version is well priced. I agree mostly with Bakerstreet. But a $129 version for non-commercial use, with a $99 upgrade from Object Desktop would be nice for power users who just want to make applications that they can send to friends. Stardock could just put in the license something like applications created with DesktopX Pro may not be used to promote a website. So some DesktopX object maker could not get into the business of making these progr

What I mean is that I don't think subscribers should automatically get to rate skins. If they earned their promotion in some other way that's different.

I don't think subscribers should get to rate skins. It diminishes the validity of the ratings. On the other hand, the people subscribing are supporting the site just like skinners. I just don't think a subscription is quite enough to get a free "rate skins" card. I also see poeple confusing comments with ratings.

The reason why its like it is is because this place is civil. I just glanced over a long thread where people have strong opinoins and it was still civil discourse. People like me are sick of places full of profanity and obnoxious teens screaming ''free speech'' to justify their obscene behavior. I like a place that I can visit and talk to people in a civil tone.

Not gona even try to read all this. Being here from the start I've watched this site grow and improve. At first it felt like a Stardock library site. Look at it now. Its a skin site run by skin authors. 3 of the 10 most pop skin download authors are admins. hell i think almost all the Admins are well known skinnerz. I think that's one reason why the sites become to popular. Skin authors running the the show who also appreciate the needs of users.

I stopped coming here awhile back because of the lack of debates. when this place started up it had lots of interesting debates. It was the only themesite where the people were intelligent enough to have heated debates that weren't flamefests. But then it got all lovey dovey. It losts its edge.
