I hear ya hardcore_gamer but it is Mel Brooks after all. Funny movie, have not seen it in ages. Brings back memories to be sure "It's good to be the king!". I remember when I first saw it at the theatre that I looked forward to Part 2 as if was a serious idea! Anyway, downloaded the stuff and will try in a future game. thanks
I should be especially clear: Founders Lifetime edition get everything we do for GC3 for free. [e digicons]:)[/e] I personally am excited for Stellaris. Not just because it's being made by my friends but I really do enjoy the continuous turns style of game and am looking forward to a space version of it. Distant Worlds is another game I think very highly of. I'm a little envious of it in the se

Thanks Frogboy for clarifying what Founder's get. I am somewhat of a space themed 4x junkie and have been for years. I buy a lot of them, mostly those that get above a 60% type of rating. I play them all initially but GalCiv series has always kept me engaged. I don't know, for me it has the right balance of being able to get involved and manage things and yet not get overwhelmed. I particularly like TBS vs RTS mainly because it allows me to not feel rushed.&nbs

I am confused about the steam concerns. as I understand you can only review/thumb up/down only once? So was a block of people holding off on voting until this wheel thing came up? If I could review multiple times (positive of course) I would. i assume founders get any and all exandalones? lastly, it is unfortunate that steam platform is impacting business/gam decisions such as this. thanks

I had to take the time to listen to the interview before responding. In short, I am happy with what I heard. The concept of a greatly expanded invasion mechanics sounds great. It sounds like it certainly would take the game in a new direction, one that is much different than what GalCiv has had before and as such I have no problem with it being a major standalone expansion. As a long time galciv fan and a founder for GalCiv3 I believe that the money I invested has

In galciv2 there where techs that lead to additional types of modifiers for invading an enemy planet. As I recall, things like bombardment, viruses, etc that improved your chance of winning at expense of damage to planets. I do not see anything like this with galciv3 or anything in tech tree that indicates providing this. Am I missing it somewhere?

In my first game since 1.5 release the 'get out of my territory' option did work. i used it to great effect when I would see their colony or constructor ships sniff around within my borders. I would ask them to leave and they turned around and left.
It's listed as a DLC for sale on Steam, hasn't made it onto my list though (I get it for free)... You're right though, it does look like one of the more compelling of the DLC's thus far.
Yes, I will get it for free as well. I went on steam and the 1.5 release seems to have dropped as it updated my game. Bu

I saw on another website, explorminate.net, what appears to be a early release of the 1.5 announcement (plus new DLC) that was dated for today. I am hoping this is true and very excited. Any word if indeed we will get the official update today? thanks

Quick update. Support responded, they said that this is a know issue with certain integrated graphics/discrete graphic card setups and they are working with AMD and Nvidia to resolve. Looking around it is clear that more than just a few have had the problem. I know they will fix it, my goal was to be sure they knew they had a problem. Otherwrise, play on!

Thanks all. Yes, I am running 340.52 drivers and galciv3.exe is set to use the gpu. Also when the games is running it shows in the Nvidia GPU activity tray. Other games, such as Crysis 3 (very demanding game) runs at 30-35 FPS on much higher resolution than I have tried with GalCiv, with high settings all around. Other games, Titanfall, battlefield 4 etc run at high framerates as well. So, it seems it is a game problem for them to solve at some point. I

Is there any plans to fix GalCiv3 or enable its' support for graphics cards? Or is this something that will be there in the end. I downloaded the latest version of the beta any the game still only runs at 4-5 FPS on a 2014 razer blade with Nvida GTX 870M graphics (and Galciv3.exe is set to use the NVidia). It just is too painful to run it at that framerate. thanks
