I'm not sure of the problem. I'm running Pro V1.1.0.419. ODM shows Fences2 available. I download, but install fails. Status is Activation Failed . How do I get this to upgrade please? Thanks

Well, despite the error message; it appears to be updated and working now. Strange. I did find the ability inside impulse to check the SN; it does match one of the SNs Stardock sent to me. I have no idea why it pops the error message - but it doesn't seem to be a problem.

I pre-ordered Object Dock 2.0; so I was running Object Dock and waiting for 2.0 to come out. When it came out, I of course installed it. I recently was notified of an update. When I ran that update from Impulse, a notepad opened saying the update failed because the S/N is not the one on file. Two problems here - #1 - I cannot find anywhere in Object Dock that I can locate the existing S/N to check it. #2 - I went to support and had my S/Ns resent

I just installed DeskScapes. When I started it, all the icons on my desk appear (running Fences Pro); when I double clicked the desk to get them to disappear again, they just flashed. Is Fences not compatible with DeskScapes?

Well this is supposed to be a 'general discussion' forum about skinning so it seems the best place to put this opinion post. Lately I've been agog over the eye-catching/wrenching wallpapers people post when they upload a WB skin. Now, don't get me wrong, many of them are beautiful; that said, the point of a WB skin is to skin the window, not view the wallpaper. I don't know about y'all, but 99% of the time, I'm in a window doing something; I

Hello; I've posted this in the support forum but have not heard back so I'm posting here as a question in hopes someone will at least know if the function is supported. I find that when I pick a skin (I'm using Clay right now), in settings, I set the window to roll up / roll down when the title bar is right clicked. Have used and loved this function for years. It doesn't work however, and this is the first time I've tried to use it on wind

I'm trying to modify the stardock midnight aero skin slightly, because as you can see in the image's red rectangle, that skin part is very dark gray with black text; making it almost impossible to use. I opened this with Skin Studio, but I cannot seem to id what part of the skin this is; so I cannot modify it. Anyone know what part of the skin this would be and where I could find it in the Studio? thanks much in advance <img style="vertical-align: middle;" src=

I'm trying to post a question which requires the reader to view an image in order to respond; but I cannot post the image as a URL here at work. If I try to drag the image, the URL resolves to the local drive on the PC here at work; which I do not think is going to work - or is it? In short, how do I load an image to a post? Thanks in advance.

Speaking only for myself, I would not rush to drop support of the XP platform, maybe resurrect LogonStudioXP? I say this because Vista is an abomination - in my experience probably the worst thing since WindowsME. . . come to think of it, I think it is worse. Because of this (and apparently I am not the only one thinking this way), I intend to stay on WindowsXP well into the life of Windows 7 - say at least 1 year from initial availability BEFORE I even think about g

Having a problem, and wondering if anyone else is seeing this; and more importantly has a fix. I'm using WB6 and Virtual Desktops on a AMD 64 Athlon X2 running WindowsXP pro (32-bit). I have 4 virtual desks, each configured to show a different wallpaper. WB6 has the wallpaper set to the same image as desk number 1. When I switch to desk 2, 3, or 4, the image behind the taskbar changes to match the wallpaper of that desk (I know this because I'm using Aero Frost with

The source has shut off their feed. Go to the support forums and there are instructions on how to change the widget to get a new feed. If you are not comfortable with programming, you'll have to wait until someone is kind enough to fix the widget you want to use, or figures out a workaround for non-programmer types. I just discovered this info this morning and have not had a change to check it out yet.

First - apologies if this is not the correct place to post feedback on the new product, Fences. I could not locate anything else that seemed like a fit. Installed Fences, on both 32-bit WindowsXP, 64-bit Vista, 32-bit Vista; no problems whatsoever ! Absolutely love this !! It is something I've always tried to do using folders on the desk, but the problem with that is they tend to multiply as well, so being able to have fences that disappear / re-appear on demand is

The things Joel has written are pretty convincing. The chilling affect hit me a few months ago when news agencies reported that Russia and Iran had entered into trading agreements that include, among other things, military and nuclear technologies. What is chilling about this is Iran (Persia) and Russia have historically been at each other's throats throughout history. Yet, Ezekiel tells us that Rosh (Russia) and Tubal (Persia) will attack Israel (with other allies) and tha

Hello all - Well, I admit it, I'm old, out-of-date, stuck in old technology land, etc. Been using the Crystal skin on WXP for ages now. Finally broke down and installed Vista (then I broke down again, and again, and again.) Now, I've got Vista quasi-stable and functional and WB works fine. I want to build my own skin using Studio Pro. But, I'm way behind the times on knowledge of graphics/imaging terms and technology, so please can someone point me t
