Along the idea of global quests... Imagine that elemental nodes themselves offer a quest once in a while. Perhaps attacking an ice node and somehow diminishing its' strength, makes the fire node you already control stronger.

Follow-up: I was able to fix this by uninstalling, removing the galciv directory under my documents, and re installing
I am unable to build the Stellar Forge - it is not in my list of available improvements to build. Here are the steps that I am following: 1. Launch TA 2. Pick Arcean race (I have tried custom with the Arcean tree selected as well) 3. Make certain that a Glorious History is included in the package then start the game 4. Once the game is started, double check that Glorious History is complete in the tech tree 5. Go to planet map and select land spac
Is there a web site that lists the different race techs for each TA race? I would rather not install the 'pedia software.
Overlapping posts, sounds good. Ty!
Kryo, Before allowing a player to execute the "fight" command in multiplayer, could it 'ping' a server using the same port(s) needed for a successful p-to-p game? The game could then notify the player that they are not configured properly rather than have that player preventing games in the matchup system.
Kryo, I think that what he is experiencing is this: 1. User is able to run DG fine 2. User is able to go into multiplayer and login fine 3. User is able to select Pantheon 4. While waiting for a game, the user is sometimes able to select a button in the lower right screen that shows the connection status of people trying to connect. 5. Lets say that there are 6 people listed, the game shows them all trying to connect to eachother. 4-
Slightly different issue - Demigod (in game) is telling me that an update is available and required to play online. It exits back to Impulse but i do not see an update available.
Same experience here DrGuppie - no Beta for me though

You may have already done this: 1. Click the Impulse icon in the top left of the screen 2. Select Change Log-in Cheers!
Frogboy, the phone number of my local gamestop is (703) 707-9053. They have one copy left for sale today.
My gamestop has one copy left but I'd rather not buy it without canceling my preorder first. The Stardock sales line (1-888-STARDOCK) says that the company is closed today and Monday. Translation - if I buy it at the store I am going to get charged twice. Does anyone know how to cancel the preorder electronically?
I am a bit late to the discussion but I find Paradoxnt's last suggestion to be interesting (start with an advanced cruiser rather than a cap ship). In the first game that I played, it struck me as odd that we start the game with the "tech" needed to create any cap ship let alone a high level one and cap ship construction yard. Paradoxnt, I would build on your suggestion by replacing the first cap ship crew tech with the tech needed to build a cap ship construction yard (i.e. yo
Update to Minor Bug, After I took over the planet, my builder finished the construction started by the former owner. Is this playing out as intended? DanS
Mining Bug Kar's Cross map FFA vs 3AI. I was close to finishing the bombardment of an enemy homeworld. His builder respawned and purchased a mine on each of the three rocks in the system. My fleet killed the builder and finished the planet before the builder got close enough to start working on any structure. The problem is that even after taking over this world, the mines are still in the color of the prior player, I can not purchase new ones or destroy his. When I mouse o
AI still has my fighters going after cap ships when there are plenty of fighters and bombers to go after.
In my opinion, the current planet upgrade, planet growth rate, and ship build rates are a little fast. Right now I do not see a NEED to purchase the corresponding techs to improve these factors as their rates are fairly comfortable as-is.
After creating and saving a race, I found a problem with loading that race or another race in subsequent game starts. Creating a fresh race provides a +4 logistics score. If I load a pre-saved race it gets a +8. If I load a second pre-saved race it gets a +12 (the bonuses carry over into the game). Using the Clear button prior to loading a race does not seem to make the erroneous bonus go away.
If i create a race from scratch it has a +4 logistics score. If I save that race and reload it the score becomes +8. If I try to load a second race the score becomes +12. Clearing before loading does not correct the logistics score. The erroneous scores subsequently appear in the game if try to continue.
