Sorry your honour I infringed copyright of an 80's popster as a joke. It sounds like Rick Astley actually has a fan.Who knew? Here is some advice: Climb upstairs out of your parents basement,go to law school and after you graduate, come back and sue Stardock. While you are studying you could make some awesome,non-boring,fabulous,original WindowBlinds.
A. Don't live with parents.
So would it be fair use for me to download windowblinds from a torrent site because I did not want to pay for it? No, because 'fair use' as described NOW simply allows Australians to LEGALLY make backup copies of their software/games and LEGALLY transpose purchased music, etc to alternate forms.....yep, ever since the dawn of cassette tapes.....it's now legal via 'fair use' to copy that 12" onto your car cassette/radio. You DO STI

Surely wincustomize can better spend their bandwidth hosting pirated rick astley videos. well, well.., those it means that you are using some short of pirate vertion of WB? ..i would like to see that System Info from your WB copy
A.
There are exceptions for "fair use" in the copyright laws. I'd read them before calling this issue infringement. alfiejs is Australian....and the 'fair use' exceptions pertain to US Interpretations of Copyright Law. However... What he doesn't realise is that since the US/AUS 'Free Trade' agreement...signed by Bush and Howard.... we [Australia] now have adopted US Copyright Law interpretation/s too. ...
You must have stayed up really late at night thinking of that one....
Um, no. I don't decide what I say or type based on someone elses ramblings. Copyright infringment is a serious offence. I am assuming your servers are based in the United States? In the most litigious

My laptop uses less resources on WindowBlinds than with Vista Aero doing its thing.
Cricket is designed to be slept through. 5 days to play one game? What a crock. Even chess moves faster.

Realises that just a VS in vista is so much better than using a closed source product. Uninstalls windowblinds, frees up some memory, (important in Vista) and leaves this horrible place. Have a nice life son!
I do believe I am not your son.

It is an infringement on copyright. If you consider the Pirate Bay, whose Admins were recently found guilty just of hosting the trackers for people to download software, then aren't you in somewhat of the same boat if you use some or all of someone else's work? I also don't need to read someone else's posts (permission slips) to be able to make my own post.

Yawn. You're other software contains DRM, yet you are more than happy to use, and dare I announce it 'pirated' material in a video. I suggest you take this down, despite the fact that it is now way past April Fools Day, and that you're not groundbreaking in any way for doing this rick rolling thing. Seriously, if you;re going to do a prank, do one that hasn;t been done before. You must have stayed up really late at night thinking of that one.
I may opine that Person 'A' is a total arsehole....may even be a valid and generally accepted opinion shared by many. It does NOT give me the 'freedom' to say on this site/forum "Person 'A', you are an arsehole." That is unfortunately both an opinion AND a personal attack/insult.
Personal attack and insult? Shame on you for you for being so two faced.

Ok, firstly, put your hand up if you're American. Yes, I thought so. A large number of people here. I think you take it for granted that people are allowed and entitled to free speech. I've got an opinion let me share that opinion with you. There are oppressed people everywhere who aren't able to have opinions. Secondly. Windowblinds is commercial software, yes? If I pay for it, should I not be entitled to expect some quality from the program? And through extension of that idea, shoul

Callous or not, the stuff isn't that good. Since I first started using Stardock products, not much has changed in the windows skinning arena, let alone visual niceness and UI development. Linux and open source is where it's at for beautiful interfaces, where users are truly able to CUSTOMIZE what they are using. I only use windows by default for work, and therefore need something much better than the standard interface to please my senses. I've used Windowblinds and visual styles for many ye

The correct penalty in Victoria is 3 demerit points and a fine of around $300. That is less than drink driving. I'm a Victorian, i enjoy recreational drugs, (not all Victorians do) my designated driver doesn't. True, there are stupid people out there, and they all seem to have extraordinarily loud opinions on the way that people should live their lives. Take for example religious zealots and conservative types. They seem to have the loudest voices
