I like the openness of the new CursorFX (and Plus), but I'm having a problem- The new themes, unless they are designed for CursorFX, are showing up in the list of My Cursors in the control panel. Now, looking for new themes is easy enough, since the program control panel and Stardock Central make it easy enough, but it says it can use the earlier CursorXP files. This doesn't seem to be the case. If I've overlooked something here, please let me know!

Microsoft has always gone for a product cycle of 18 months, more or less. It's now been nearly 5 years for Xp. We're a bit overdue. Now, why didn't they let them stay? Money. They're not selling either product any more, so money is purely being paid out for support costs.

should be commended for using better business sense and delaying the release of a less than ready OS If that was the only reason, I'd have to agree. However, the delay seems to have been caused by Microsoft changing horses in mid-stream. The original Longhorn (or Vista) started out life using a cod

I don't suppose it's any worse than any other 'Windows xxxxx' name. Unfortunately, it's not any BETTER than any other name. Better to have named it Windows Frontier or something, seeing as how it's a step further away from the DOS roots for the OS.

I like Object Edit. Sort of. The trouble is that it's too simplistic to use for anything heavier than a recipe card. Even editing syntax, it needs more features. Things like a tabbed interface, word wrap, and simple text formatting.

Well, I restored Windows and that took care of it. Maybe IconPackager was slightly updated since then, because it hasn't happened again (yet). I DID have to uninstall Enhanced Dialog, though. Where the standard Windows icons (up a level, new folder, etc.) display, to the right of the folder tree drop-down box, I would try to put the mouse cursor on that area and the drop-down box would expand to cover the standard icons. This is not good if

Well, that appears to have done it. Thanks. By the way, is there a way to get the versions on secondary machines to match without installing StarDock Central on each machine?

Followed your suggestions, but it didn't help. Oh, I can stay connected for up to 5 or 10 seconds, but then it splits and I lose the secondary machine.

Anybody know what's going on with Beatnik? The version available for download says that it's version 2.0.0 beta build 14. I unzipped the skin files into the program folder with the rest of the skins that came with it, but every time I try to open one of the new skins, the program crashes. Opening one of THEIR skins isn't a problem. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Post
