Quoting Dirtyface83, reply 56 2. It's been said above and in many other threads, but if there is a way to make colonization and starbase construction within another empire's influence only possible when at war, I would be happy.

1. Perhaps it's just me, but I very often (read almost always) get the feeling that I am Team 1 and the AI, all of them, is Team 2 - regardless of AI personality and how strong, advanced, or extensive my empire is. That is fine for small deathmatch maps, but for bigger maps with more civs, this doesn't feel like an immersive galaxy. 2.
I don't like surrenders. I play with it off.
Yeah. It seems like there's a moment in most of the games I've had surrenders switch on, where it's like there's like the 'Age of Surrender' and within the space of 30-40 turns, the number of galactic powers goes from 4 or 5 civs, to 2. This would be fine if those surrendering were like 1945 Germany, but I've had some re
My objection to tactical battles is that in a game as massive as galciv, I might have a dozen battles per turn. I dont' want to fight those battles nor do I trust auto resolve enough. But I don't object to tactical battles if there was a way to have them that didn't force players into feeling like they had to deal with them.
Sounds like there needs to be a game setup option for the le

I've tried both ways of deleting the factions, and as far as I know, I'm not using any backup service, although I'm using Windows 10, which has some odd 'features', so maybe that's one of them? This kind of thing isn't happening for any of my other games, steam or not. At one point I even uninstalled the game, deleted the whole GC3 stuff in 'My Games', and then reinstalled - and everything, including the zip file, that had been in the GC3 documents

Neither. When I remove all the files from the mod folder (leaving the empty stock folders intact), ALL my previously save factions come back, and duplicates are the most recent version. Curiously, a .zip file that I put some factions in to send to a friend before we could do it on steam also comes back. If I simply delete factions one at a time, they stay away, but if the folders are ever all empty, everything comes back. EDIT: Two factions are uploaded on Steam, the re

I'm in the process of converting a bunch of custom civs I made into modded ones, but they keep reappearing along with a few zip files, and other stuff that isn't even used by the game. So my question is: Where is the cache I need to clear?

This needs a nechrobump. It works pretty well. It mixes up FG and Portraits though, but as a modded faction template builder it works just fine. I also loved that I was able to generate 100 of the ingame editor starter systems to assign to my existing Custom Races.

It doesn't follow that these voices should not be heard or listened to, but it may surprise some people to learn that forum users and people who download mods, let alone make them, are not, by any stretch of the imagination, the majority of any community that plays any game. In fact, the majority, a heavily weighted proportion for most games, just play it if they like it, and stop playing when they get bored, and the only footprint they leave is the money they spent on it. No forum posts,

A lot depends on your resolution and UI size. I'm using 1920x1080 with Small UI, and yea, Achronous is right. Rather than more intense colours, more intense borders would help more with detail visibility. Once the set is 'complete', I imagine OCD will inevitably force me into going back and tweaking things like that, but I'd rather get the designs done first and then work on refining their apppearance in game. For the Korx logo, for example, I spent a good hour fiddling with t
I can't imagine Civ VI being anything less than excellent. I'm not sure which game I am the most excited for.
I don't imagine for a minute that it will be a 'bad' game, neither was Civ V, but there was no way I was going to play the s*** out of it like I did the others before it, and so I am hesitant to get excited over it, which sad. It's a trust thing. I trust you guys, based on e

Glad people like them. And yes Achronous, I was especially happy about the Iconian one, I thought it turned rather well if I may say so :D. Added Arcean and Torian logos. The plan is to eventually add versions of all the stock logos. Korx is proving to be slow going.... Any inspirational ideas would be welcome. Also, as an aside, if any dev happens by here, I happened upon a concept leader image for the Korx in the Founders Vault. I've

Very happy with the roadmap. I realise this is years we may be talking about for some of those things, but hey, I was still playing GC2 pretty much until GC3 went early release, so make of that what you will. I can also tell you straight off that I won't go near Civ 6 until the steam store sale 'Civ6 Complete' version comes out. Being a die hard fan from Civ I, I was EXTREMELY dissapointed with Civ 5 in pretty much all areas, from gameplay right through to customer

No idea if any of these things are in development. Some of them could be done as a small DLC or part of a patch, others will need a full blown expansion. 1. More ideologies - Taking inspiration from the civ traits. This would, if done right, add even more flavour to the game. 2. A good espionage system complete with improvements and possibly spies that you can move on the map in the form of a ship with a special module, and capture, of course. 3. The abi
