The Windows Aero Desktop requires a certain amount of texture memory to be allocated from your graphics adapter for every display you're running. Even without DreamScene this is a requirement. If you're able to run the three desktops without DreamScene enabled on all of them, it may be that you're already close to the limit on texture memory. Running DreamScene may be pushing it over the limit because it probably has to allocate a little more for the animation.
