Suddenly IE won't work at all. I have tried sys restore. Cannot access online virus scan. Norton not finding anything at all. I was thinking about re-installing from disc, but if it is a worm or virus it might wipe out the disc. What should I do?

word works, defrag works, sys restore works, netscape works, trillian works.

If this comes through underlined it is not intentional...

GM.....the only 'really' delicate part of a modem card, or any other PCI or ISA card is the strip of contacts along its bottom.....body oils/sweat on the contacts can contaminate the connection and possibly cause the card to 'fail'.....other than that, you can practically kick the things round like a football....

but DUST likes to come in... I would cober it with one of those generic silver things you can bolt in. Dust can kill a system.

...I was trying to figure where to get a silver cober thing and about decided on duct tape.....

When I worked in the emergency rooms, it was the drunks who were relaxed enough to come through the worst accidents with only scratches... theory being they were very limber and went with the flow.

.... following on with that theory it might be handy to have just enough to relax and quell the shaking and yet not enough to blur the vision.....
