I'm not trying to be combative about stuff...but I just feel like the dev's have a lot on their table right now and as users I think we need to help prioritize their work. I would rather they spend 5 minutes on ai then 5 minutes on anomalies. What a lot of people seem to feel is that the game needs a more aggressive, combative, intuitive AI. I'd rather they devote their limited resources to that then these kind of modifications.
You are right, this isn't a priority at all

I have never played on GIG, so I am not sure how that would change things. The YOR Interdiction field thing that slows down the enemy doesn't work well in small games but may work well in a GIG or HUGE. Get something that boosts your influence dramatically and you can create a slow-speed buffer that your enemies can't just charge through. and it will give you a cushion of a move or 2 before you have to start worrying about your enemies. Please, Iztok or someone with a better understa
Nice example GalenEvil. That's exactly the way I'd like to see anomalies handled. You some kind of Maths-teacher or what?
Haha, nah Trym. I am an Electrical Engineering student, currently a sophomore. I am math-minded though, and that is the best programming example i could think of. [color="#FF0000

Well, the way that I see it is as such: OLD SYSTEM: Anomolies are gobbled up and then when the first recessions hit there are no more around and this slows down the game for several months. Then the civilizations work through it and become powerful again. NEW SYSTEM: Anomalies are gobbled up in the early game. the recession starts and then anomalies have reappeared by then, so it doesn't hit nearly as hard. When the recession is over the anomalies are still arou

Yeah, that has happened before. In my current game it hasn't happened...I think it is because i was very aggressive very early. How did you go from worst to first for navy in 5 turns?
I saw the Snathi declare war on the Drengin once. That was pretty awesome.
HAHA, yeah, I saw something similar to that. I think that it is very funny when a minor dares to war with a major. Usually they are stupid and try to pick on the strongest civs, usually the Drengin in my games. Right now the minor race in my game is about to be destroyed, but they are actually keeping pace with the level of technology of the other

Okay, I really have only one thing to say about this program specified in the title. It is amazingly fun to play with The only thing I do not like tho!!! I do not know how to add additional weather modules to my desktop. If I could then I would be very happy as I have family north of me and I wouldn't mind knowing how the weather is there without going onto a web browser such as Firefox. Might try the skinnable browser offered by SD,

I am more the Air type, or Water. The rigid arts don't work well with me, so I guess I cannot become an Avatar. I wouldn't mind learning the Earth style though. I do know someone that fights in the Northwestern Shaolin Kung Fu style though. Looks pretty cool. GalenEvil

I love this movie! Person above me...I hate musicals too but this was actually pretty good. Sorta trippy and if you do drugs at all before you see it you will like it even more ahhahahahahahaha...I didn't, mostly because I don't do drugs. I do however, enjoy Beatles musix, so it is a good movie by my reckoning... GalenEvil

Ok well you see theres your problem. You dont pay for the stargates until they're functional. SO you deposit like 1 BC in your account now. and in 50,000 years when the gates are up and running you're sure to have enough in your account to pay for it AND maybe have a little left over to got to a nice restuarant. watch the universe implode over desert. CaptainYar.....I have one thing to say to this. Nice subtlety if you are referring to The Guide, and if

Thermocaw! Please continue this! We are all left in awe of your story-telling prowess and desire to know the ends to which the Terrans and Alan Bradley deal with this new situation. I thoroughly hope that the Arceans pay for their insolence and are absorbed by the Terrans, or even by the Krynn. Continue, we beg! :: begs in a convincing manner, he hopes :: GalenEvil

Well, it was only pronounced with the ones with huge numbers of pieces. Nothing too bad, but this was also before all of the updates for optimization. The problem may no longer exist, but my computer is horrible. Once i get a better one I doubt I will have further problems.

@Dystopic: I understand what you are talking about now, I am wondering if it is possible to do that without the use of KHSM, but I am too lazy to figure that out haha. @PubMaster: Yeah, all of the stuff that you have made that I have loaded up have slowed the game down a lot. I run a Toshiba Satellite with 512 MB Ram, 2 GB Page File (this is to keep the game from slowing down too much on the larger maps). My computer is a year and a half old and it is doing what it can haha. Once I get a

I had the spylocked thing once, i have a program called Avast, friggin amazing! I use it and Norton's Internet Security Suite 2007 to find and destroy viruses. NIS 2k7 is almost a virus unto itself though, get it and then dont ever let it auto update, cuz that will make it run a file that eats your CPU. At least it did to me. My 2 cents, GalenEvil

The button is all-greyed out. Anyone have any ideas on that? Yay, something that i can help with! Okay, start making a custom OPPONENT/ENEMY (not sure what it is in the game), and go to appearance. It wont be all grayed out anymore and you can make your ship style. Now when you get done with the style, just back out of the custom opponent screens back to the "pick your opponents" screen in a new game. Voila, the simplistic method of getting a

I think that Alex may be just on Vacation w/o Internet Access, which would be a shame. I hope that once the school year starts back up he will become a more active member and leader of the HCH once again. I am sorry once again for my own lack of participation, I am here but lie in the shadows of giants with my own scores not even hitting 25k. I am working on that but in non-meta games. I am about to go on a possibly non-internet vacation myself, so I am probably not going to be posti

This is my addition to this tournament: It was a long game, longer then usual for a military conquest. I would have had a larger score but I decided I wanted to just buy tha last enemy planet from them and paid for it with my best ship. Oh well, haha, better then my last Meta score by a lot!
