Freakin' amaaaaaaaaaazing story dude! Keep up the work that is better then good! GalenEvil

Get up a hull size and see how things go. If you can boost your military production anyway or get a few constructors out to the battlesites and make some suped up military starbases, you might be able to work them over. In my current game at the start of it, the Krynn declared war on me when they had like 100x the military I did. This was pretty bad for me, but I just did hull-size jumps on them and totally owned them with 2 ships. Using the planets I got from them, I got about tripl
@Starstriker1 Yer prolly right on that last thing. Though they are actually being competetive. A custom race just created a Battleship with 100 Beam Attack. Too bad my best ship (buy outright for 33 TB) has 108 Beam Defense. The Dark Yor, suprisingly, created a 200+ Beam Attack fleet with a respectable defense. Haven't ever seen that before. Them actually putting up a fight. They even took one of my planets cuz i didn't expect it...and they used Tidal Disruption on me.<br
Yeah, it is pretty different. I just call my huge transporters Epics, cuz it is rare that I make one and they are used for homeworld invasions only. Also, in my game, I have huge hulls while the nearest opponent has Mediums I think, no larges to counter my huge advantage. And apparently I assassinated pretty much every major leader, so I'm at war with the galaxy and kicking but with 6 Huge ships against some 400 Small / Medium ships and about 300 more Super Dominators...:: shudders:: i knew i
I dont really have a problem with the crashes. I anticipate when the crashes are going to happen and save+quit+reload after the page file usage has been reduced. My computer only has 512 MB so I have to do this pretty frequently on Gig maps, and they take forever anyways, so not really any big losses. haha! GalenEvil
Something that I don't like is how the AI doesn't usually make transports that can actually hold a good amount of troops. I am making "7 Billion troop"-transports and take pretty much anything I want. I use my smaller transport classes to move around populations and keep my large transport planets producing those huge transports at full capacity. I have 2 sitting on my homeworld ready to be launched. And they are now required, due to a UP decision, to have 5/5/5 attack. And with over 100 ba
This is a very interesting one. I hope Steve doesn't die immediately on landing and that his hovertank dies before the yor get to him. He seems likable, but torturing rats is just funny, especially with 10% Plasma Rifles. Those make everything more fun GalenEvil
The answer to mine is an egg...who has actually read chapter 5 of The Hobbit?
nothing; Within a chest without key, lock, or lid a yellow gold is hid.
Pretty interesting, sounds fun
My thought is this: If you plan on getting into a war, build masses upon masses of troop transports and make a single unimaginably powerful ship to protect them. Just stack the transports and allow your planets to recover themselves so that you can have no dip in population during your wars. GalenEvil
Something that I have noticed (having already researched Huge Hulls) is that if you have a huge hull'd ship, I only need like 5 of them to take on 7 opponents worth of Small and Medium ships. It makes me kinda sad but also very happy that my ships are worth their weight in pain. My "Uber-Transport" is going to have a lot of fun just running around and depositing 9 Billion shock troops on the surface on and enemy planet! There will be death to all that oppose the Drengin! Gale
I must be insanely lucky, never once has my opponent (Dread lords excluded) gotten all the way up to the maximum weapons tech. The bigger my map the slower I set the tech. I want to play a Gig Abundant game sometime, but I really dont have months to dedicate to a single instance of this game right now.
I'm playing on Normal difficulty atm. This may sound noobish, but how does the all-factory strat work? And how were you able to dominate your opponents with research? Okay, in the "all-factory strat," you build no tech buildings at all. In order to get research you use focus. And by getting a number of planets as well as a huge number of factories and Stock markets I was able to focus over to research withoout actually putting any spending % i
@The Mad Dragon: What difficulty were you playing on? Also, I have found that the smaller map games w/ a lot of opponents are usually the more difficult ones, because there is a higher likelihood of having wars. The Thalans just doing that to you though, hasn't happened to me just yet thankfully. I suggest trying out the All-Factory game. It is effective, and even with it I was able to dominate my opponents in Research all through the game, and it also able to grab a lot more planets from b
My Drengin game is coming slowly. I am basically in cleanup phase, just because I have space superiority with a single ship. 96 Beam attack, against the closest opponent having 10 Beam attack. I am doing an Evil Drengin all-tech and stock market game. I have 8 minors and it appears to be 7 major opponents. All of which are still alive. The Minors are actually making good ships, sadly they only make 2 or 3 of them and then are swarmed by my psionic beam Huge hull'd ships. <img src="http://i
Not bad, I liked it. Use a few more pictures or make up for that with more storylike wording. GalenEvil
Wow, never been in this circumstance. I am lucky i guess to not have had the Pirate problem...
Awe, sorry to hear that...Hope that the trojans and whatnot aren't too bad on yer compy, have a good one LostHero!
Awesome thoughts Kryo! I might try to do this once I figure out how to make my own hulls using Blender >.> But alas, that will be taking a bit before I can do so. And thus, i must go and play a meta game for the "Tournament of Losers" now, so good day! GalenEvil
Wow, these new ones are also very nice. I need to work on some meta-ships...Which I actually will be doing since I am doin a Meta game right now Latah Everyonez! GalenEvil
Keep em commin Dude!
Experience gained depends on the attack strength of the enemy destroyed and is not based on HP destroyed. Is it based on relative strength to the ship that destroys it? Because I have noticed that my Dreadnoughts don't lvl up unless they are fighting hordes of smaller ships or lower and lower numbers of larger ships. GalenEvil
I just have to ask, how much experience did your ships gain from this Iztok? That is interesting and could be used as a "training exercise" for new fleets Have them just attack a group of Super Dominators and just level up like crazy (if they do that). Oh, a question that just came to mind, how does the game decide how much experience to give to a ship in battle? I am going to try to find t
For the all researching, something that has come to my attention is that if you do focus even if you are bankrupt past -500 BC it still works. I was pumping out lotz and lotz of ships and improvements even after i went bankrupt due to my focusing. Super Breeder works pretty good for what I do, but it only really shines on the Market worlds because they can take a huge hit to population from failed invasions and regain all of their market abilities quickly. I have never done a tech gam
