people call other people words like ragequitter, because the ragequitters abandon their team without their team's consent. random teams are balls, and many times, the ragequitter is the person who is feeding or doing something stupid . they leave because they did badly, unintentionally usually, and then they ruin the game further by leaving. again, random teams are balls.

something about proxy servers and then i saw an attactive blonde
1. favor point increase is good 2. concession is good as long as they get a loss. at the very least, removing BOTs from player games is needed. i don't think bots should appear in any player games, as inexperienced players can just play single player skirmish, tournament, or custom games if they want easy practice. 3. smart quitting is good. 4. the option to have a random demigod would be fun. alternatively, a mode of play that
a great solution for ragequititng is (1) giving players incentive to win (like a well-developed ladder) in order to achieve a legitimate record, (2) have a matchmaking system that matches up based on equal skill levels (as best as possible), (3) letting players get organized as best as possible within your game you (SD & GPG) want a competitive game, so you should take hints from the successes and failures of those before you (guild wars, wc3, dow2, even wow arena). in WC3's
back-dooring isn't considered cheating in DotA by the leagues except under certain circumstances (TDA, for example, has a few limitations on BD'ing). the only people who consider it wholely "illegal" are PUBs, and anyone familiar with official rules just laughs and keeps on doing it (unless they're losing because of it). anyway, BD'ing is fine in demigod. it isn't cheating. it isn't exploiting. the game clearly allows and even encourages (cap locks, siege abili
anyone that actually pays attention to OTHER peoples' connections couldn't possibly say this patch is a huge improvement without at least noting that problems still persist for many users.
every 250+ ping player i've let into my games has caused major problems. most recently, i let two 250+ ping people stay in my 5v5. no one's SIM speed was bad, but the pings were a bit high so the game lagged and was almost unplayable. eventually one of them dropped, and a desync occurred. sorry, based on experience, i'm just going to kick people with over 200ms, because enough uncontrollable stuff coalesces to ruin this game. a host might as well control the lag.
with erebus's bite nerfed, nothing else about the demigods stands out to me as overpowered. some abilities do seem too weak. - QoT offensive spells, especially uproot, are not good. it feels like half of this hero's ability tree is very underdeveloped - i never see UB's weapon damage buff used and can't say i would ever get it early or mid-game. - more synergy should be given to sedna and erebus to encourage use of their minion abilities more frequent
the game post thursday patch is only a little bit better. it's better in that people get into the lobby faster and some of my friends are having much less problems connecting to others. 3v3: problems occur in the lobby but are solved in short time. 4v4 and 5v5 are serious headaches. it's like trying to solve a game of clue when trying to weed out who is causing problems. it then becomes a card game after i've figured out who can't see who and trying to priori
quitting should let you see your score, etc. after another team leaves, i just leave if i'm left fighting bots. i'd like to see the scoreboards when i do so.
No, it is not. Unjustified branding and subsequent kicking out of a game is unacceptable.
and people don't get kicked for those reasons, most of the time. people mostly get kicked for douchebaggery. the second most common reason is friends making room for each other, which still requires 3 votes if the vote truly is arbitrary, and that plays a little into why valve is adding a Looking4Four matchmaking system

i find it funny that people are dismissing the idea of a banlist. in practice, they only work under certain circumstances, but as an idea, it's a way for the community to regulate itself better in the face of the chaotic multiplayer system that is custom game lobbies. if i'm forced to use the custom games list for a reliably good game, then stardock certainly has given me no option save to avoid, from experience, certain players that are known to leave or, in some other way, [b]in
Unmasked password fields are very much html fail. Given this sort of mistake, it's also probable that your passwords are stored in plaintext in the database. i.e. better not use a password you use anywhere else, unless you want alban to look at them.
yea imagine if someone besides blizzard and ncsoft decided that matchmaking systems with competitive ladders and premade vs. premade features were a good idea and would
crucible is too vulnerable to exploits with blink (unless you're supposed to be able to blink to the enemy base portal flag and lock it at midgame *shrug*), but other than that it's a fine map imo.
they're not USELESS. they're just not useful enough to justify their cost, unless the whole point of them is to further delay access to catapults by costing double of what priests cost.
i don't care about clans, at all. people form clans out of game in many games. i'd just like to be able to do premade team vs. premade team.
VoIP is a good idea for games like this. i don't know why the game doesn't have a ping-the-map feature, either. to the OP, everyone gets mad, but abandoning your team for your reasons is lame and socially retarded. reminds of people in DotA that would leave or feed in order to get back at an ally.
my one problem with ashkandor is that it is better than a lot of similarly priced artifact items. makes me think those items should cost less or ashkandor should cost slightly more.
good: - players get into lobbies and connect to each other plenty faster - favor point issue is fixed even if it's still bugged (had 2 billion points i think) - seems the "chasing" bug is gone from my 4-5 games played - the 30 second grace period worked well the one time i've seen it needed - connectivity is better in terms of identifying people who can hold up a game or won't be able to play bad: - targeting bug still in (guess it wasn'
incentives to be constructive and the ability for players to avoid certain people is probably best. one issue i take with blizzard, for example, is that they beg for only constructive posts. however, constructive posts take work, and they (blizzard) give literally no worthwhile incentive for gamers to do anything but do what any disatisfied customer with easy communication would do - complain. this is one reason for the WoW forums being trash. as for moderation by it

i think the rook hammer slam is a graphical bug. i remember silencing it, the hammer coming down right on top of me, and me taking no damage. i figured the rook was upset about it.
a lot of my ire currently is directed at GPG. they released a game with its fair share of awful bugs and have taken too long to fix them. especially the TARGETING BUG that's been around since BETA.
