Ok. Brand new system, clean install of Windows XP SP3. I install my motherboards drivers (DX38BT) including the sound/lan/chipset drivers, followed by all microsoft updates. Then I try to install WindowBlinds through Stardock, and I get the message telling me there is most likely a .CMD file blocking WindowBlinds. There is no .CMD file, I double checked manually. Any ideas or should I just go ahead and email tech support?

Yup. System clock is correct. March 13 6:58PM EST The system info above was after updating the newest public release with the newest beta release.

Well, after a few complete system reformats and reinstalls I still can't figure this out. First, DirectX will not run 3D Programs what so ever while WindowBlinds is running. They all error out. I have the programs in the exclude list but they still do not run. I have tried disableing per pixle titlebars and that other option in the system info. I don't even know how to explain the second one: http://thedarkrealm.cc/error.bmp I have tried the same as above but to no avail. Other

This is actually quite simple. The mask color, is the color that will be transparent in the background image. You need to set the mask to a color which is not in your image. I usually go for a light purple. The problem with the suggestion above, is that if you have an image with that specific color in it, the problem will still happen.

No solutions?.... It may just come to the point that I can't use it. Sometimes it doesn't write anything to the video card and I have to estimate where the control buttons are. For things like web browser windows, it's not too big a deal, but for windows that can't be easily gotten to, or word documents.....

Nope. I uninstalled, restarted, installed with SDC, restarted, and it still does this. Just in case the files have changed: WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 5 (5.51 (build 97 x86)) WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins. It was originally a stand alone, then I let SDC install WB6 (and uninstall WB5 I believe) But had the same problem. I thin uninstalled as completely as I could and re installed, and same problem. I will re uninstall it now though, and make sure to delete the folder in Program Files. Just a thought, would running IconX cause this in any way? Or installing it? I believe I have had this problem with IconX unloaded....

Ok, so I installed WindowBlinds about a month ago, and since then, I have had a persisting issue with skinning. When I open an application such as Firefox, or Guild Wars, the window does not skin until I maximize and restore the window. And if any of the windows start maximized already, that window is screwed because I haven't found a way to fix it. This is an example of what I am talking about. http://thedarkrealm.cc/issue.png As you can see, the border itself is non

I was wrong, it does this in WB5(.51) as well. It is quite annoying, especially when the title bar disappears completely, like it tends to for Guild Wars. Here are my .51 Specs: WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 5 (5.51 (build 97 x86)) WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins. Well, I installed WB5 a few days ago, and it worked great. I had some issues with WindowFX, and had to uninstall it, but I was quite satisfied. I just upgraded to the latest build of WB6, and the first thing I notice when I start using my computer normally is that one of the three Firefox windows<a itxtdid="3701016" target="_blank" href="?forumid=436&aid=159676#" style="border-bottom: 0.075em solid dar
