Information Display You see exaclty how liquid cash, how much worth of resources and how much debt any other player has, seeing how those values change in real-time gives you an estimate of how strong their economy is. There is even a stock value to give a rough display in case you don't do the maths on the numbes. In no other RTS can you see how many units the enemy actually has, other than counting yourself

I enjoy most of the game but for the end (when I loose). The problem is when you are being bought, you get no warning, no sense that you are about to loose. In other RTS you can at least see your base being crushed, or your army routed. In Offworld, you just get a sudden notice that you have been bought. It's probably like that IRL but in the game it's not so fun. ---- On the same subject, if an annemy buy another player it gets him a big advantage. But when a

You can create the background as in Mount&Blade. It's something like You come frome A noble house A merchant family A soldier family As a child you learn Blacksmith Trade Fight Hunt ... During the great war of magic you Fight in an army Learn enchantment ... And yes, let us modify our channeler's look. Can we equip him with weapons and armours as a normal unit and see the result
I've actually given this sort of economic system a fair amount of thought myself in planning for a 4x webgame which I've been putting off for a few years. The concept I was working on there is sort of halfway between the two (probably similar to Caesar or Settlers, but it's been a long while since I played either): [...] + The transport network is abstracted. Structures may be built which increase the player's overall transport capacit
LOL, sorry but ... can't resist More seriously it's hard for a beta player to see the whole tree of possibility and not to be able to test all our idea and see what you are (GPG & Stardock) planning for the future. As it was already s
PS.: If you think DoW 2 is a "classical RTS" then you haven't actually played it.
I'm playing Beta ... nothing new. It use some mechanism of company of heroes (grenade, MG, wall, choose between 3 way of special power), player have a teleporter in wich they can buy units, units can hide inside building or behind wall. Player have to capture energy and command point (like DOW1), play

This is a Strategy game in real time, but as it was already said, calling DG a RTS could be misinterpreted. This is not a RTT, DG is not about " operational warfare and military tactics " Before finding a name, we have to find the definition of DG. This is a Strategy

Currently the gameplay is in real time, coz not turn based strategic, coz you have to make strategic decision (a lot of) BUT this is not a CnC like. You have to ask yourself if the problem is calling DG "RTS" or if it's about gameplay problem. My opinion is that some improvement have to be made with minions. But currently it's a game of a new genre with strategy and rpg-ish things. I agree with the first post, dev had to explain more what
Although maybe we should allow assassins to buy totems if they want though. Because they're supposed to be two different styles of play. As it stands, you can play Assassin Demigods and Assassin Demigods that have the option of pets. That's not "play it like an RTS or play it like an RPG" - it's play it like a party based RPG or a single character rpg. It's not what was advertised.
DG is not a RTS game or a RPG gam

"plus bien" is wrong but understandable, "meilleur" means "better". Can you tell me how bad is my english? [e digicons][/e]
Why not remove completly the sumonable default minions and at the same time make the unique minions REALLY worth it. Easier to control, stronger in everyways, and give a special usefullness (attribute, aura or skill) to everyone of them. For instance QoT can sacrifice her minions to get healed (that idea was nice), give some interaction with the minions for all the others (ex: sacrifice Yeti to freeze area around it). Have one tipe of minions would be si

We have to distinguish balance and gameplay modification. Demigod is not about having CnC or W3 with a general/assassin but a game about strategic decision in real time, so called RTS [e digicons];P[/e] . So I only agree with number 8, "NO minion choices". This as to be solved. The other point are more about balance thing, and because of netcode problem, I don't think, we can't really talk about balance yet.
